Center Role:  My current role is to bridge the gap between NICCEE and the Joint Global Change Research Institute (JGCRI) by modeling nitrogen flows and proposed green ammonia fuel technologies in the Global Change Analysis Model (GCAM). Through scenario development we seek to understand how green ammonia as a shipping fuel influences ammonia fertilizer prices, and therefore food security in the future. We also aim to improve overall nitrogen representation within GCAM, by introducing more detailed nitrogen flow data.
