Chi Vi

Chi Vi is a PhD student in the School of Environmental Sciences at the University of Guelph and is a member of the Wagner-Riddle Lab. Using advanced field techniques, they measure greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout the year. Their holistic approach also examines related agricultural issues like nitrogen loss, bioenergy sustainability, and soil health. Key research questions include optimizing nitrogen fertilizer use to reduce losses, assessing the true environmental impact of bioenergy, and evaluating if diverse crop rotations can lower GHG emissions.

Her career goal focuses on development programs to enable the adoption of sustainable practices at scale, support vulnerable groups, and accelerate sustainable development goals.

Chi recently made a video highlighting her field work. Check it out below!
