NICCEE Showcases Green Ammonia Innovation at the 248th ECS Meeting
The Global Nitrogen Innovation Center for Clean Energy and the Environment (NICCEE) was proud to participate in the 248th Meeting of The Electrochemical Society (ECS) last week in Chicago, IL.
NICCEE leadership and researchers Xin Zhang, Nianqiang (Nick) Wu, Sarah Garvey and Yulei Wang organized and participated in the session “Green Ammonia: Technology, Impacts, & Pathways to Adoption.” This three-part session was held over two days and featured 24 invited and contributed talks exploring the latest advancements in green ammonia production, nitrogen transformation technologies, and sustainable energy systems. NICCEE was also joined by industry partner Hiro Iwanaga from Talus Ag who shared valuable insights on practical applications and on-the-ground challenges for green ammonia.
The ECS meeting provided a valuable platform for NICCEE and the scientific community to exchange ideas, build partnerships, and accelerate progress toward a more sustainable nitrogen future. Thank you to the speakers, participants, and ECS organizers for a successful event!
