NICCEE Director Presents Vision and Progress to USM Board of Regents
On June 13, Dr. Xin Zhang, Director of the Global Nitrogen Innovation Center for Clean Energy and the Environment (NICCEE), presented NICCEE’s mission and progress to the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents meeting at USM Hagerstown.
Dr. Zhang shared how NICCEE is advancing research, education, and partnerships at the intersection of nitrogen innovation and sustainability, with a focus on green ammonia. In her remarks, she highlighted NICCEE’s role in connecting scientists, farmers, industry partners, and policymakers to co-develop actionable solutions for sustainable nitrogen management, from agriculture to energy and shipping.
